Titans, Roos Agree On 6-Year, $43M Deal
The Titans and left tackle Michael Roos have agreed to terms on a six-year, $43 million contract extension, according to the Tennessean.
Roos will become the NFL's third-highest-paid tackle with the deal.
"He is a low-key guy, and it takes an awful lot to get him excited, but he is smiling," his agent Cameron Foster said. "The beauty of this is I didn't have to twist any arms to make the Titans realize his value. They were pretty much fair out of the blocks, and this contract makes Michael the third-highest-paid tackle, behind Orlando Pace (Rams) and Walter Jones (Seahawks)."
Pacman's Agent OKs Four-Year Deal
The Cowboys and Manny Arora, the agent for suspended cornerback Pacman Jones, have come to terms on a four-year deal, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The finanical terms of the deal have not yet been released while the specifics and language must be approved by the league in order to make the trade between the Cowboys and Titans official.
Bears, Receiver Davis Agree On New Deal
The Chicago Bears and wide receiver Rashied Davis agreed to terms on a new three-year deal on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
He was signed out of the AFL in 2005 and has returned punts and kicks as a member of the Bears, as well.
Report: Dolphins Reach Agreement With Jake Long
ESPN.com is reporting on Tuesday that the Dolphins have reached a contract agreement with Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long.
According to the web site, the Dolphins will announce this afternoon that they are taking Long with the first pick in this weekend?s NFL draft.
Broncos Add Veteran WR Jackson
The Broncos reached an agreement with veteran receiver Darrell Jackson on Wednesday, according to ESPN.com's Mike Sando.
The one-year contract will become official once Jackson passes a physical.
With top receiver Brandon Marshall expected to be limited at the beginning of the season because of injury, Jackson could be the top dog at the beginning of fall.
Broncos Reach One-Year Deal With WR Parker
The Broncos reached an agreement with former Kansas City receiver Samie Parker on Monday, according to the Denver Post.
"I'm a Bronco," Parker said Monday night of the one-year pact. "This is a good situation for me because I'm going to be able to come in and compete for a job."
He had a marginal season for the Chiefs in 2006 but was bumped down the depth chart by Dwayne Bowe last season.
Lions Sign LB Alfred Fincher
The Lions signed free-agent linebacker Alfred Fincher to a contract on Friday, according to the Detroit Free Press.
He spent the last three seasons with the Saints but was cut in November after a trip to the injured reserve because of a concussion.
Fincher played at Connecticut with the team's backup quarterback Dan Orlovsky.
Chiefs Sign Free-Agent Return Specialist
The Chiefs have signed free-agent return specialist B.J. Sams to a one-year contract, according to the Kansas City Star.
Sams played his last three seasons in Baltimore, missing last year with torn knee ligaments. He will be ready for full contact when the Chiefs open training camp in July.
Report: Jets Give Rhodes Huge Deal
The Jets signed safety Kerry Rhodes to a five-year, $33.5 million contract extension on Wednesday, according to a report in the New York Daily News.
The deal includes roughly $20 million in guaranteed money.
A team spokesman wouldn't confirm the deal on Thursday morning, but two people with knowledge of the agreement were in contact with the Daily News.
Vikings Finalize Deal With Veteran Frerotte
The Vikings have finalized a deal with veteran quarterback Gus Frerotte, according to the Associated Press.
He was the team's backup (behind Daunte Culpepper) in 2003 and 2004, and will serve as Tarvaris Jackson's safety net.
Frerotte is a fourteen-year NFL veteran.
